Rigging R&D - Cloth rigs
Here's some simple tests I've been working on to create some realtime cloth rigs in Maya.
There are a few things that need to be ironed out. but in these quick tests, I've been pretty happy with how it's performing, it's fast and is able to handle some basic collisions and such. I'm sure I'll be able to iron out the other issues with a little more investment.
Right now, I've got this driving a simple FK setup, but this could very well drive any sort of setup, be it an FK, IK or a combination of the two, or anything else really.
The character is from Epic games, they were amazing enough to release the assets from Paragon, and it's been fun playing around with some quality models!
